Our annual online auction is open for bidding.  The auction will run from April 1, 2012 through April 21, 2012.  All proceeds will be used to support supplemental educational materials and experiences for both our students and teachers. Auction items range from local sporting event tickets to entertainment and eating opportunities guaranteed to delight and surprise.

Thank you to all who voted last night in our School Council Election.  More than 400 ballots were cast. Thank you to Elizabeth Barnett, Andrea Lovett and Netti Sternklar, our Parent Representative Candidates, for their willingness to come forward and make a difference for all of our children.    We were extremely lucky to have 3 outstanding, committed parents willing to dedicate so much of their time to the critical role of PARENT REPRESENTATIVE TO THE SHS SCHOOL COUNCIL.  Congratulations to Andrea Lovett and Netti Sternklar, who were elected and will be joining the SHS School Council as Parent Representatives.  Thank you to Bonnie Klane, our Community Representative, who has dedicated herself to ensuring that SHS and the community at large continue to thrive.

Sharon High School Open House

SCHOOL COUNCIL ELECTIONS:

The SHS PTSO will be conducting SCHOOL COUNCIL Elections during the Open House. There are two parent openings and one community representative opening. Statements of Intent from each candidate will be posted outside the auditorium. Please read the Statements of Intent and vote for two parents and one community representative. The School Council Ballot Box will be placed at the entrance to the auditorium.

PTSO MEMBERSHIP:

Andrea Hale, Membership Chairperson of the PTSO, will be distributing the 2011-2012 Student Directories. Each member of the SHSPTSO will have a directory reserved for them.

Anyone wishing to join the PTSO (membership fee is $25) will be able to join Thursday evening. Andrea will have a number of Student Directories available for folks who join that night.

CONTINUATION OF THE PAPER COPY OF THE STUDENT DIRECTORY:

The next PTSO monthly meeting will be held October 12, 2011 in room 602 from 7:00PM to 8:30PM. There will be a meet and greet from 6:45PM to 7:00PM. The agenda for the 10/12/11 meeting can be found on the SHSPTSO website on Sunday the 9th along with minutes from the September 14th meeting.  Please join us on the 12th and help make the PTSO relevant for our Parents, Teachers and Students!

Please join us this Wednesday night, September 14^th for our first Sharon High School Parent Teacher Student Organization Meeting.  We will have a brief social get together from 6:45 to 7:00PM, followed by our regularly scheduled meeting from 7:00PM  to 8:30PM.   Please come see what we are up to and consider joining the PTSO!  We are here to support the ongoing involvement of Sharon Families in Sharon High School.  WE CAN NOT DO IT WITHOUT YOU!!!
